Appliance Repairs Online is an independent repair business. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by appliance manufacturers referenced on our website.
Manufacturer names and trademarks are used for identification purposes to describe the appliances and brands we service.
We provide diagnosis, repair and related services for household appliances, which may include washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, ovens and other household appliances.
The services available for a particular appliance depend on factors including the appliance type, brand, model, fault, age, condition, location, availability of parts and technician availability.
We do not guarantee that every appliance can be repaired.
Our standard service call and diagnosis fee is $188, unless another amount has been clearly agreed with you before the booking.
This fee covers the technician attending the property and diagnosing the reported appliance fault.
If the appliance can be repaired during the initial visit without additional parts or separately quoted work, the technician will advise you.
Where additional parts, labour or further work are required, additional charges may apply. We will provide information about those additional costs or a quote before proceeding with separately chargeable work.
Replacement parts are charged separately unless expressly included in a quote or otherwise stated.
Depending on the appliance, model and availability, we use quality replacement parts suited to the appliance, including high-quality compatible replacement parts where appropriate.
If additional work is required following diagnosis, we may provide a quote for the required parts and labour.
We will not knowingly proceed with separately chargeable quoted work without your approval.
Where a return visit is required to complete an approved repair, including where a required replacement part needs to be obtained, we do not ordinarily charge an additional service call fee for that return visit.
Additional charges may apply for approved parts, labour or other work included in the repair quote.
We aim to complete repairs requiring a return visit as promptly as reasonably practicable. Timing depends on factors including parts availability, technician scheduling and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Our standard appointment windows are:
Morning: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
Afternoon: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Monday to Friday
Appointment availability may vary.
We generally send a notification approximately 30 minutes before arrival where possible. This notification time is an estimate and may be affected by traffic, previous appointments and other circumstances.
We generally cannot guarantee an exact arrival time within an appointment window.
Someone authorised to provide access to the appliance and approve work should be available during the booked appointment window.
Same-day appointments may be available in parts of metropolitan Melbourne.
Same-day service is subject to location, booking time, technician availability and scheduling capacity.
References to “same-day service” do not constitute a guarantee that a technician will be available on the same day or that an appliance will necessarily be fully repaired during the first visit.
Appliance faults are not always identifiable before physical inspection and testing.
A diagnosis represents our professional assessment based on the appliance’s condition, symptoms and information available at the time of inspection.
In some cases, one fault may conceal or contribute to another fault. Further problems may become apparent after an initial component is repaired or replaced.
We will advise you where we reasonably believe additional work is required.
Customers are responsible for:
We may decline or discontinue work where our technician reasonably considers the working environment unsafe.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us as early as possible.
We reserve the right to charge a reasonable cancellation or attendance fee where a technician has already been dispatched, has arrived at the property, cannot obtain access, or where a cancellation occurs without reasonable notice, provided that any such charge has been disclosed to you and is permitted by applicable law.
We may reschedule appointments due to technician illness, emergencies, parts availability, unsafe conditions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Payment is required in accordance with the amount and timing communicated to you for the relevant service.
Payment methods may vary and will be advised when appropriate.
Where additional work is quoted, the quote will identify the applicable repair charges before that separately chargeable work proceeds.
Any express warranty we provide is additional to, and does not replace or limit, rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
The precise warranty applicable to a repair may depend on the work undertaken, the replacement parts supplied and the information provided on your invoice, quote or other warranty documentation.
A warranty may not cover a subsequent unrelated fault, accidental damage, misuse, external damage, pest damage, power supply issues, pre-existing problems unrelated to the repair, unauthorised alterations or repairs performed by another party after our work.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Our services and any goods supplied in connection with our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, your statutory consumer rights apply in addition to any express warranty offered by us.
If your appliance remains covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, extended warranty or other third-party warranty, you should check the terms of that warranty before engaging an independent repair provider.
We are not responsible for determining whether engaging an independent repair business will affect a separate manufacturer or third-party warranty.
Appliance Repairs Online services appliances manufactured by a range of third-party brands.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Appliance Repairs Online and SYDNEY APPLIANCES PTY LTD are independent of those manufacturers and are not their authorised service centres, agents, representatives or affiliates.
References to manufacturer names, logos, model names or trademarks are for identification and informational purposes only.
We take reasonable steps to keep information on our website accurate and current.
However, appliance models, parts availability, service coverage, pricing, appointment availability and other information may change.
Website information of a general nature should not be treated as a diagnosis of a particular appliance fault.
Unless otherwise stated, website content owned by Appliance Repairs Online, including original text, graphics and branding, may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without permission.
Third-party brand names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.
We are not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of third-party websites.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from matters outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in this section, or elsewhere in these Terms, excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under Australian law.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or applicable requirements.
The current version will be published on our website with the date it was last updated.
